ACRY-002 - El Día Más Largo

Acrylic Label proudly presents El Dia Más Largo (The Longest Day), the first compilation of its kind highlighting Latin Lo-Fi music throughout Latin America, Spain, and the USA. As Latin music becomes more global, this first of its kind album features 13 culturally rich songs through a fresh Lo-Fi Hip-Hop lens that captures the spirit of the summer solstice; El Dia Más Largo serves as the sister compilation to The Shortest Day, released late December of 2020.

Among the acts on El Dia Más Largo is Acrylic Label's first Latin Lo-Fi signee, Flora Vida. Since launching with the label this year, the duo from Mexico City and L.A. have led Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music's Lo-Fi flagship playlists and they were spotlighted as pioneers in the genre by VICE's Noisey Music. Flora Vida teamed up with Venezuelan musician Orestes Gómez for the tropical and buoyant "Jenmanii." Gómez also contributed "Bolero de Despedida," a refreshing update to the age-old bolero sound.

Palmasur is another rising Mexican act in the Latin Lo-Fi genre. Spotify handpicked the producer to create and curate the Lo-Fi Mexa playlist. Palamasur contributed "Noche En México," which lives up to its name as a soundtrack of the D.F. with a jazz and hip-hop influence. He teamed up with Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue for the electronic delight "Parque de Bugambilias." Through Lo-Fi, Baco Beats revives interest in Paraguay's national instrument, the harp, in the gorgeous "Guaraní Landscape." More artists from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Uruguay, and Spain redefine Latin music on the compilation.

El Dia Más Largo is the first major Latin Lo-Fi project spearheaded by Los Angeles based instrumental recording company, Acrylic Label.
