[Guaguancó: an umbrella term used to describe a rhythmic pattern played on congas in afro-cuban style music.]

[Aguancó: the fusion of water aesthetically meshing into the rhythmic tendencies of afro-cuban styled music, most prominently echoed by the sound of congas.]

Aguancó sets the tone with a steady foundation of guaguancó and rumba clave that transform into a wave of cross genre instrumentation. The off-kilter drums are lofi, the silky guitars and lush keys are neo soul and the percussion is all afro-cuban.

From Dominican American, guitar playing, merengue listening, hip-hop head and electronic new wave latinx mad scientist Kansado, Aguancó flips the known conventions on lofi and neo-soul by injecting the traditional rhythms of afro-cuban music and opening a space for cosmic island beats.
